
JAMES POTTER
DIRECTOR
Following the completion of the Part 1 and Part 2 Architecture courses at Portsmouth University, James worked with 2 architectural practices learning his trade. He then made a change to the development industry producing many masterplans as the principal designer and working alongside a mix of disciplines to produce various successful schemes. His understanding of the importance of having different specialists all working together in the industry was realised and this was when James set up his own company.

RYAN HUTCHESSON
ASSOCIATE
Ryan completed his Bachelors & Masters in Architecture at the University of Portsmouth, graduating in 2019. He joined the JPA team back in 2016 continuing to work during his studies and is now a full time member.
He has a strong passion for music and football, often going to gigs and matches. Ryan also runs an independent clothing brand in his spare time!

MICHELLE LEGGETT
OFFICE MANAGER
Michelle has been with JPA since 2020 and has previously worked within the travel industry in various roles including office/branch and area relief management/repatriation/business/marine/leisure/bureau de change/out of hours management and accounting since completing her BTEC National Diploma in 1996.
Her career has taken her all over the world on a professional & personal level. She is an adrenaline junky and will give most things a go, from sky diving to black water rafting in glow worm caves! Michelle is a people’s person and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to JPA.

JAMES HARDY
SENIOR TECHNICIAN
James obtained his degree in Architecture from University of Portsmouth, graduating in 2008. He gained 9 years of technical experience working for an external building envelope company before joining JPA in early 2021.

ALEX JONES
ARCHITECT
After completing his RIBA Part 3 Professional Studies in 1999, Alex has delivered projects in a variety of different sectors. These include; residential, offices, warehousing and industrial, education and retail ranging from one-off bespoke houses to retail and business parks. His involvement has been within a variety of project stages including feasibility studies and design work, planning, listed building consent and building regulations applications and tendering.

JOSEPH KUFORIJI
PART I ARCHITECTURAL ASSISTANT
Joseph joined JPA in 2022 after completing his BA in Architecture at the University of Portsmouth. Born in Nigeria, moving to the UK when he was five with his family. Originally from South London, Joseph moved to Portsmouth for his studies and is currently working with JPA for his Part 1.
He is particularly interested in communal Architecture and how architecture can help enrich the lives of people and communities as a whole. Outside of work, Joseph loves the arts, movies, photography and reading books and manga. He also wants to get into a sports or martial arts to stop him from being inside all the time!

WAI LON IP

Wai has been with JPA since early 2019, previously worked as a Technician and is now working remotely as an Architectural Assistant from Macao.
He completed his degrees in BA Architecture at Nottingham Trent University in 2016, and MSc Historic Building Conservation at the University of Portsmouth in 2018. He is particularly interested in the legacy & sustainability in architecture and recently obtained the title, BREEAM Associate.
Outside of work, Wai is a Gran Turismo fanboy who’s passionate about motorsports, loves going-on road trips, go-karting, tennis, skiing & snowboarding. He also enjoys doing sketches and digital arts as an illustrator during his spare time.
